The workshop laboratory is located in the back side of the Civil Engineering department of NIT Raipur. The Workshop Practices Laboratory provides hands-on experience with the basic machining techniques and types of equipment in manufacturing environments. This includes turning operations, drilling, boring, basic milling, off hand grinding, precision grinding, sheet metal shearing and bending, casting mold, fitting, carpentering, and basic welding (SMAW, MIG, TIG, SAW facilities). These laboratories are divided into six types i.e., Machine Shop, Turning Shop, Carpentry Shop, Moulding Shop, Welding Shop.
