ABOUT

The Material Processing & Advance Manufacturing Laboratory is located in the workshop of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Raipur. This laboratory has been invented for the purpose of research in advanced materials science and non-conventional machining processes. This laboratory is rationalized to support various practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students. This laboratory is equipped with the following major machines.
  1. Electro Discharge Machining (Die sinking type)
  2. Micro milling and Engraving m/c
  3. Hot Air Oven (up to 250ºC)
  4. Vacuum Oven (up to 220ºC with max vacuum 2 atm pressure)
  5. Surface Roughness Tester
  6. Compact bricks machine
