Research Interests

Dr. Shukla's research interests are Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Convective Heat Transfer, Thermal Engineering, Turbulence Modelling, Simulation, RANS, LES, Heat Exchanger Simulation, Thermal Management of EV Batteries, Filtration, and Clean Air.

CFD is an important area of research that helps to understand the behavior of fluids, such as air and water, in motion. Convective Heat Transfer is the study of how heat is transferred through fluids in motion. Thermal Engineering is the application of thermodynamics to the design and operation of devices and systems that involve the transfer of heat. Turbulence Modelling is the study of the chaotic behavior of fluids in motion. Dr. Shukla's expertise in simulation techniques, including RANS and LES, enables him to predict and analyze the behavior of fluids in various industrial applications. Heat Exchanger Simulation is another area of interest for Dr. Shukla, where he focuses on designing and analyzing heat exchangers for various industrial applications. Thermal Management of EV Batteries is an important area of research, where Dr. Shukla aims to develop effective thermal management systems for electric vehicles to ensure optimum battery performance and longevity. Filtration and Clean Air are also areas of interest for Dr. Shukla, where he aims to develop effective filtration systems and technologies to improve indoor air quality and reduce air pollution.

Through his research interests, Dr. Shukla aims to contribute to the development of sustainable and efficient technologies that can benefit society and the environment.

Brief Bio: 

Welcome to the personal website of Dr. Shukla, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NIT Raipur. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Shukla also takes care of various administrative responsibilities at NIT Raipur, such as the Faculty-in-Charge for Establishment of Incubation Centre and Member of the National and Industrial Collaboration Cell.

Dr. Shukla is currently serving as the (Intrim) Chief Executive Officer of NIT Raipur Foundation for Innovation Entrepreneurship (NITRRFIE), a Section-8 not-for-profit company of NIT Raipur, where he aims to support the Atmnirbhar Bharat Mission.

Before joining NIT Raipur, Dr. Shukla worked as a Scientist at Elofic Industries Limited in Faridabad. As a scientist, he developed several research-based products such as Clean Air Tower, Nasal filter, and Oxygen Concentrator. His areas of specialization include CFD, Convective Heat Transfer, Fluid Dynamics, Thermal Simulations, Turbulence Modelling, Clean Air, and Filtration.

Dr. Shukla has participated in various scientific and international meetings and events, including a BRICS Youth Summit in South Africa where he was part of the Indian delegation. During the summit, he debated and delivered a speech on Industry 4.0 on behalf of India in the presence of the South African Science and Technology Minister and other BRICS representatives.

Dr. Shukla is the recipient of several awards, including a letter of appreciation from the Hon'ble Governor of Nagaland for his efforts in social entrepreneurship. He has also published several research papers and patents.

Dr. Shukla has a strong vision towards Startup India, Incubation Management, Make in India, and Make for World by developing a strong link between Industry-Academia Collaboration.
